In Mayska passed an open sambo tournament

More than 160 young athletes took part in the open-New New Year SAMBO Tournament at the Cup of the Vologda District, held on December 11 in the Foke Mayan village. In addition to the hosts of the competition for places on the podium, sambists from Vologda, Sokolsky, Sheksninsky and Kadui districts fought.

In team competition, the victory won the athletes of the Vologda Club of Martial Arts Labor, another club from the regional capital – Scorpio closed the prize trip. Silver won the Pioneer Club Sambists from Sheksninsky District.

It is nice that more and more often the winners and winners

of the competition are fighters of the Vologda District: this fact says that Sambo in our municipality is developing successfully. Particularly pleased with the local fans of Daria Savinov and Yaroslav Demidov who won gold medals, as well as Ulyana Leproshov, Yaroslav Kalachikov, Zakhar Pavlov, Maxim Yakinukov and Egor Dyakov, awarded silver awards. Also, Dmitry Schamgin and Alexander Malakhov, who won bronze, were also well done on the wrestling rug.

The tournament was held at a high organizational level, – noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Sambo Vologda District Alik shooters. – This time we even established Cups for teams that have been a prize triple. This once again says that Sambo in the Vologda district develops, as well as the fact that in January-February next year it is planned to open a section on this type of martial arts in the village of Kurkino.
