The data of the federal sociological survey conducted in June 2020 by the Independent Research Agency ZOOM MARKET testify: Makhachkala, Krasnodar and Moscow became the most sport cities of Russia.

The rating was formed on the basis of three questions:

Tell me, do you play sports? Where do you do sports? What sports do you do?

After the first three sports cities of Russia, Rostov-on-Don (4), Kazan (5), Novosibirsk (6), Voronezh (7), Samara (8), Krasnoyarsk (9), Ekaterinburg (10), Simferopol (11 ), Nizhny Novgorod (12), St. Petersburg (13), Chelyabinsk (14), Saratov (15), Ufa (16), Volgograd (17), Perm (18), Astrakhan (19) and Ivanovo (20).

As clarified by one of the leaders of Zoom Market Andrei Ptyov, 54% of respondents indicated that they were engaged in fitness clubs (installation), 24% of Russians attend various sections of martial arts, crossfit and yoga, and 19% of respondents who came to the sample prefer to engage in Fresh air sports such as running, worn and cycling. No more than 3% of Russians are engaged in hockey and hockey, which is slightly (1%) increased compared to the data of a similar survey conducted in 2018.

The expert noted that the question of whether sports was ceased to the time of self-insulation, 73% of the respondents involved in sports, responded with a negative. Of these, 57% indicated that they were engaged in houses, 41% on the street and 2% attended sports halls and fitness clubs working under the time during self-insulation.

The survey was conducted in 20 cities of the Russian Federation, using personal interviews. The total sample amounted to 2400 respondents.
