Therefore, I argue that self-heating is quite sufficient, but subject to careful driving for some time after parking.

And in what? Butter and gum freeze in an hour at temperatures of -25 or more. By the way, when you drive at a low temperature along a normal highway for a long time, even then the racks have time to freeze, since they work little. Literally in half an hour they manage to freeze. At the same time, gas does not play any role in wear.

I finished my shock absorber heating. I twisted 16W to the rear, put 30W to the front.
It was not possible to make an option with a 350W inverter from the on-board network, because. even at -15 he went into defense (anticipating questions – I replaced the fuse in the inverter with 15A).With a self-regulating heating cable, there is an almost linear dependence of resistance on temperature, so this resistance of the entire system showed 170 ohms, which is 285 watts. It takes literally a few seconds until the cable warms up, but these seconds with this power were not enough.
Therefore, I did not experiment anymore, tightened the KG1x10 through a 50A fuse and set the inverter to 750W. There is such an AirLine with a soft start system, which in this case is the very thing.
After two weeks of using the heating, I can say that now even at -15, when the car stands without warming up, the difference is immediately felt. You go and feel every pothole. After warming up, the shock absorbers work like in summer.

By the way, they produce a 12-volt heating system Thermite. So, they have a minimum system power for all shock absorbers – 200W (the most powerful is 300). I have – 92. That is. I have now installed running lights, I don’t use 110W, which went to the fog lights, but I warm up the shock absorbers)
