The Spasskaya Church is one of the oldest buildings of Tyumen. Already 200 years she pleases the eye and supports the Orthodox faith in Siberia. The Spasskaya Church is located in the center of Tyumen, at the intersection of Lenin and Chelyuskinsky streets. Earlier, it was located on the outskirts, there were a city gate nearby. However, as the city grows, the temple was surrounded by new districts.

Late reconstructions contributed to the architectural appearance of the Church elements of the pseudorous style. This is especially true of the North Apud and built in 1887 from the west side of massive pellets (platform in front of the entrance doors). After the end of reconstruction, visitors will have the opportunity to see the painting of the XIX century, made by Master Peter Mikhailovich Belkov.

In 1837, the temple visited the heir to the imperial throne Alexander Nikolaevich (future emperor Alexander the second). On the evening of May 31, his crew stopped at the entrance, and Alexander, kissed the cross, went inside to pray. There was a mentor with him – the great poet Vasily Zhukovsky.

Many people know about him, but few people visited there. Are afraid of a long road? Maybe. But we decided to take a chance and still visit the Tyumen Dead Sea.

Where is the Tyumen Salt Lake?

The famous Salt Lake is located in Berdyžsky district – it is more than three hundred kilometers from Tyumen. According to its healing properties, it is not inferior to the legendary Dead Sea. For their uniqueness, local people call the lake pearl.

In the historical reference it is said that people for a long time use the dirt of the Okunevsky lake for the treatment of different diseases.They say that in terms of its effectiveness, the Tyumen mud is equal to the mud of Matsesta (a resort in Sochi). But official medicine says nothing about the healing properties of this mud. People are treated here at their own peril and risk. Attempts to organize a civilized balneotherapy (resort treatment) based on the mud of the Salt Lake, which have been made since the 80s, have not yet been successful.

And indeed, if you scour the Internet, you can find many different articles and news, which confirm the benefits of mud and clay from the bottom of the lake. And also that there are periodically going to build sanatoriums or other health centers. Like, the infrastructure allows you to turn this place into a center of attraction for tourists. But for unknown reasons, investment projects have not yet been implemented. Or maybe it's for the best?

We leave the city along the Yalutorovsky tract and further along the highway. In about an hour you will pass Yalutorovsk, and behind it, literally a couple of kilometers away, there is a grocery store and a canteen. You can stop here for a bite to eat. We did not do this, because the road was still long, and we did not have time to get hungry during this time either.

In a couple of moments, golden rapeseed fields will appear along the road. There seem to be even more of them here than on the way to Maryino Gorge! As a fellow traveler suggested to us, there is a plant that produces rapeseed oil nearby. So the appearance here of an endless sea of ​​bright yellow flowers is a completely understandable phenomenon.

We couldn't get past this beauty. And we do not recommend! Stop, take a couple of frames for memory! These pictures will not only decorate your Instagram profile, but will also warm you up in the winter cold with memories of the past summer.

When you're done with photo shoots, then go further down the track. After another hour drive there will be a gas station and a large hotel complex. There is also a hypermarket with a canteen.

The path continued. Soon we ended up in Omutinsky. It is very beautiful here: picturesque rural landscapes, unusual architecture, many animals that see off travelers with a serene look.

Then we marveled at the beauty of Armizon and Berdyugye. These villages are surrounded by small lakes. There are a lot of them here. But no one swims in them. Even in 30 degree heat. Why? I would also like to know. Tyumen residents can only dream of reservoirs within walking distance.

Then follow the map, it will take you to the same Salt Lake. In extreme cases, ask the locals for directions. They are already accustomed to questions from tourists and are happy to suggest the way.

Entrance to the lake is free, no fences and controllers. This surprised us. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the area.
